My Dingo…
My pets mean the world to me… This is something I seriously cannot stress enough. Each loss of one tears a piece of my heart out. The reason why I photograph animals, specially pets + equines, are because I have a very strong love for them. It may not be this way for everyone but I can understand that love that others too feel with their own pets. I understand the meaning of a wonderful “family” photo!
There are so many things that can go wrong in the pet world as much as the “human” world. Our furry ones are with us one day and can be taken way the next. You go absolutely crazy trying to save them, trying to find them, trying to do whatever you can just to having them back in your life… to be able to say good bye or have peace of mind of what has happened. And when all is said and done you go back to the images you took or images someone else took for you.
Yes memories are beautiful but having that image… I cannot describe how important to ME it is to have. The image(s) help bring back those memories… I will not lie for me it does bring up the bad but the wonderful fond memories hugely overwhelm. They help keep memories alive…
Dingo…
My beloved Thai Ridgeback Mix went missing over a year ago while I was on vacation. I did everything I could once I got back and still pray and hope to this day that he’ll come home to me. He was a rescue from Taiwan and I only came across him because of PHOTOGRAPHY! If it wasn’t for my passion for animals and photography I would have never been touched and my heart ache’s daily for him.
I am so glad for all the photos and videos I took of him… however I dread the fact I did not get any photos of US together.
So PLEASE remember, to those that matter, get images of BOTH YOU AND YOUR FURRY FRIEND(s) as soon as possible! You never know what may happen.
A remembrance video I created for my Dingo…
