My Dingo…

My pets mean the world to me… This is something I seriously cannot stress enough. Each loss of one tears a piece of my heart out. The reason why I photograph animals, specially pets + equines, are because I have a very strong love for them. It may not be this way for everyone but I can understand that love that others too feel with their own pets. I understand the meaning of a wonderful “family” photo!

There are so many things that can go wrong in the pet world as much as the “human” world. Our furry ones are with us one day and can be taken way the next. You go absolutely crazy trying to save them, trying to find them, trying to do whatever you can just to having them back in your life… to be able to say good bye or have peace of mind of what has happened. And when all is said and done you go back to the images you took or images someone else took for you.

Yes memories are beautiful but having that image… I cannot describe how important to ME it is to have. The image(s) help bring back those memories… I will not lie for me it does bring up the bad but the wonderful fond memories hugely overwhelm. They help keep memories alive…

Dingo…

My beloved Thai Ridgeback Mix went missing over a year ago while I was on vacation. I did everything I could once I got back and still pray and hope to this day that he’ll come home to me. He was a rescue from Taiwan and I only came across him because of PHOTOGRAPHY! If it wasn’t for my passion for animals and photography I would have never been touched and my heart ache’s daily for him.

I am so glad for all the photos and videos I took of him… however I dread the fact I did not get any photos of US together.

So PLEASE remember, to those that matter, get images of BOTH YOU AND YOUR FURRY FRIEND(s) as soon as possible! You never know what may happen.

A remembrance video I created for my Dingo…

Cascades Edge Olympic Triathlon

Sorry guys its been forever since I’ve blogged or posted any sort of images. I know! Life has seriously been extremely hectic the past couple of weeks. A house of 7 plus 4 pets turned into a house of 10 and that includes a baby on top of the 4 pets (my babies)!

Anyways a few weeks ago my husband, Lance, and two of his friends did an Olympic Triathlon down in Enumclaw, WA. It was a horrible day weather wise and they even had to cut the swimming course short for the olympic length, for the other types it was cut all together and those that didn’t have a wet suit were NOT allowed in the water. It was about 54 degrees F which =’s COLD on top of the already cold wet rainy weather.

One of my husband’s friends came in 2nd overall and my hubby managed to survive his 1st Tri! I was even wet, tired, and exhausted like I had raced with them but all I did was stand around and take photos! lol I don’t do well in cold weather at all!

Anyways here are a few of my favorite shots. You can view more at my flickr account.

The brown kid is female the other spotted faceĀ  is male. At the time these photos where taken they were 1 day old!

They Grow!

Beyond Snapshots Contest!

Beyond Snapshots is holding a contest for an Epiphanie camera bag. Its something I REALLY want to get because one its not only stylish but its funtional. So hoping I just might win! Very excited!!

This is my entry for the contest. I think it fits purfectly lol

The other day I was taking photos of my cute bengal kitten and of course Bolt had to be there as well. Tayla loves to play and she was hiding under her box. Didn’t like Bolt there so would reach out her paw and start smacking him. lol That was when I just so happened to see some blood on her paws! I quickly stopped what I was doing to find the source of the blood. Couldn’t find it anywhere then spotted something on Bolt’s nose. She manged to get him INSIDE his nose! AH! So I cleaned him up and on with the shoot. =) No one noticed anything…that is except the camera! :O
